1. Cancellation by the Traveler:
1.1. If you need to cancel your participation in one of our New Zealand adventures, please notify us in writing as soon as possible via email or by contacting our customer service team. The date of your cancellation email or call will be considered the official date of your cancellation.
1.2. Refund Eligibility:
1.2.1. For cancellations made 90 days or more before the scheduled departure date of your expedition, we will provide a full refund of the trip price, minus any non-refundable costs associated with the expedition.
1.2.2. Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date are not eligible for a refund.
1.2.3. Note on Non-Refundable Costs:
Please be aware that certain expenses related to your expedition, such as permit fees, accommodation bookings and guide expenses, may be non-refundable. In such cases, these non-refundable costs will be deducted from any eligible refund.
2. Cancellation by Tartan Coconuts:
2.1. We make every effort to ensure the safe and enjoyable execution of our expeditions. However, in rare circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather conditions, safety concerns, or insufficient participant numbers, we reserve the right to cancel an expedition.
2.2. If we must cancel an expedition for any reason, you will be informed as soon as possible, and we will offer you the following options:
2.2.1. A full refund of the trip price, including any payments made to us.
2.2.2. The option to transfer your booking to an alternative date or a different expedition, subject to availability.
3. Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances. Having appropriate insurance can provide you with peace of mind and financial protection in case of unexpected events.
